Meet Amber the Country Road Mom

Hi y’all! Welcome to The Country Road Mom. My name is Amber and I’m a household CEO, crafter and painter. My resume and job experience includes a masters with ongoing PhD studies in patience, in addition to small (or well not so small now) human chauffeur, tantrum & meltdown negotiator, toy repair specialist, fashion stylist & consultant (though apparently these skills are now outdated as according to my daughter I am “older than dirt”), birthday party planner, search & rescue: small plastic pieces unit, master crafter, as well as so much more.

Really though I am 36, a mother, and navigating the process of divorce. My life started out as a country road kid, born and raised in Oregon. I grew up in a farming family, on a country road, just outside a small town in the Willamette Valley. In my younger years I was a member of 4-H and the FFA and my agricultural roots run deep. When not working my day job as the office manager of a CPA firm I’m spending time with my daughter. If I get time to myself I enjoy painting and crafting. Likewise I also enjoy photography, going to the lake and when I’m able the beach!

Meet Amber the Country Road Mom

I’ve always loved crafts! When my ex-husband and I were first married he was in the Army. During that time in our lives I launched Remembers When Designs. Remembers When used military uniforms to create purses, diaper bags and accessories for all military branches!! As we transitioned to the civilian word so did my crafting interests. While I still love sewing today my true love is painting. What started with one Mommy and Me Mother’s Day canvas painting class has grown. We now regularly do home painting classes and self created wooden signs.

I hope you will enjoy joining me from my craft room, to my kitchen, to the front porch and the ball field and where ever else life takes me and mine!
