Life is crazy and when you’re a busy mom it’s even crazier. To bring a little organization to the chaos I always have my planner with me. It’s my road map, my financial adviser, my cheerleader, my health coach, my therapist, my journal and so much more. I always have my planner with me so it can tell me (literally sometimes!) if I’m coming or going so lets explore the different Happy Planner sizes.

The Early Years

I have used many different planners over the years. I’ve found planners are like shoes. They come in every style, color, size, etc imaginable. One of the first planners I started with in high school was the Mead Weekly and Monthly. This planner offers a monthly section and weekly. The monthly view offers a great overview and the weekly an area for more detailed planning. It’s a nice size for appointment notes, assignments, and budgeting but not too bulky to carry with you.

Growing Up

At this point in my life though, as I said my planner is more than just a planner. As I grew up so did what I needed in a planner, I needed one that could be more than just somewhere to write times. I tried many different brands over the years and then I was introduced to the Happy Planner from Me & My Big Ideas and it was love at first planning.

I was in love with the idea of my Happy Planner from the beginning because it offered me so many different ways to customize it. The designing filled a creative need that I hadn’t been able to fulfill since giving up on organized scrapbooking six or seven years ago. There was room for all my lists. (My lists always make me feel like I’m more on top of everything!). The unique disc-bound system allowed for me to be able to seamlessly add and removed weeks and months as time progressed. The best part was when one design aspect became boring (it was the cover first) a redesign can re-energize. I could just redesign without having to start over from scratch.

Which Happy Planner Size To Choose

Remember when you were a kid and you got that new toy? And you couldn’t put it down for a week? Getting a new planner, or well now planner accessory is the adult version of that new toy for me. So are you ready for Christmas? Are you asking how do you get started with a Happy Planner? The obvious answer to that is you need look at the Happy Planner sizes and choose the one that is right for you.

There are lots of different options with the Happy Planner. It is important you take some time and examine the different ones. Ultimately if you don’t like it you won’t use it. You also need to examine your motivation for buying the planner. What do you want to be able to do with it? This will play an important part in what you need in your planner.

The Big Happy Planner

There are five different Happy Planner sizes. The Big Happy Planner, the Classic (my personal choice), the Skinny Classic, the Mini, and the Skinny Mini-sized, . The Big Happy Planner pages measures 8.5 inches x 11 inches with a 9.75 inches x 11.5 inches cover. This size offers extra room for journaling, detailed planning, or simply more space if you have that pretty bubbly writing the Big Happy Planner is the one for you. Check out some of the available themes by clicking on the pictures below.

The Classic Happy Planner

The Classic Happy Planner the middle of the road when it comes to size. The cover measures 7.75 inches x 9.75 inches and the pages are 7 inches x 9.25 inches. This size is smaller but it still offers room for detailed planning, note-taking, budgeting, and more. The smaller size however makes it more convenient to carry. Of all of the Happy Planner sizes this is my favorite.

The Skinny Classic Happy Planner

The Skinny Classic Happy Planner has a cover 5 inches x 9.75 inches and the pages measure 4.125″ inches x 9.25″ inches. This makes it the same height as the classic but not quite as wide. Hence the name lol! This planner is not too big and not too small. The monthly layout features a single line with all 30 days on one page. However, the weekly view still features a daily area for notes and appointment details. Where the standard Classic Happy Planner features the boxed style calendar as you see on a wall calendar.

The Mini Happy Planner

The Mini Happy Planner is just that the mini version of this great product. With a cover measuring 5.125 inches x 7.5 inches and pages 4.5 inches x 7 inches, it is the perfect size to go anywhere with you. With the same great monthly and weekly views as the other two options, this more condensed version is the best choice if you just want to keep it simple. Once again you can check out some of the available themes in this size at Amazon has to offer by clicking on the pictures below.

The Skinny Mini Happy Planner

The Skinny Mini Happy Planner is the same concept as the Skinny Classic Happy Planner, a skinny version of the mini planner. This planner has a cover measuring 4.875 inches x 7.5 inches and pages 3.9 inches x 7 inches. Like the Skinny Classic, this one also features the single line monthly layout with all 30 days on one page.

    • As far as a masculine or unisex planner goes I’d have to say the Mead Weekly and Monthly I mentioned in The Early Years section my post is a great choice. They have that monthly overview with a weekly section for more detailed planning. They come in a variety of colors so you don’t have to carry something too girly! LOL! Or if you really want to dive you can buy the Happy Planner disks on their own and create your own disc bound. There are lots of Etsy store that sale the planner pages for them in variety of themes and styles. So you can pick out something that fits your needs and personality that way!
